a 224,000 MT/Year Phosphoric Acid Plant, a 660,000 MT/Year
Sulphuric Acid
Plant and associated Utilities & Off-site Facilities at Eshidiya and an Acid Storage Facility ( 4 Tanks of
5000 M3 capacity each) at Aqaba. |

 | The 170
Million USD Project has been successfully implemented well within the -30 months from the
Effective Date ofContract and the Cost Estimate. The Sulphuric Acid Plant was commissioned on 01-03-1997 and subsequently Phosphoric Acid Plant's production was commenced on 30-04-1997. The maiden Phosphoric Acid Shipment "m.v.NAXOS" to SPIC Plant at INdia was on 13-07-1997. During the very first two years(Jan-Dec'98 & Jan-Dec'99) the Phosphoric Acid production surpassed the 100% capacity mark which is reckoned to be a world record. The superb performance has translated into handsome net profits-a return of 20.88% on equity for the year 1998. |

Ltd.,Jordan (JPMC) and a finished product consumer-Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. ,Indian
(SPIC) joined hands in 1992. Based on the merits and content of the Joint venture, a Pan-Arab Financial Institution, the Arab Investment Company
SAA, Saudi
Arabia (TAIC) subsequently joined as a third-promoter to further strengthen the Indo-Arab Partnership. The Process chosen for the Phosphoric Acid Plant is the well established 'Single Stream Hemi hydrate' from M/s Hydro-Agri International Licensing, Belgium and for the Sulpheric Acid Plant is 'Double Contact Double Absorption' from M/S Monsantro Enviro-Chem,U.K. | |
